The Alvar Aalto Museum

The Alvar Aalto Museum specializes in architecture. It preserves, researches, and maintains a permanent display of material related to Aalto's work as an architect and designer. The museum's architectural collection features over 1000 original models and artifacts designed by Aino and Alvar Aalto, together with an extensive picture archive and a steadily growing selection of reproductions of Aalto's original drawings. The museum also serves as Jyvèskylè's art museum. It owns an extensive collection of art, and is involved in a wide variety of exhibition projects.
